Whether you need treatment for a common condition, a health check, or your regular medicines, we are here to help – often faster than waiting for a GP appointment.
For seven common conditions – sore throat, sinusitis, earache, infected insect bite, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated UTIs. If clinically appropriate, we can supply treatment without you needing to see a GP. This is a free NHS service available to eligible patients.

Pharmacy First consultations and the Minor Ailments Scheme are free on the NHS. If you are exempt from prescription charges, many treatments are provided at no cost.
We know our regulars by name. You will always see a real pharmacist who listens, explains clearly, and gives honest advice – even if that advice is “see your GP”.
Bring in your repeat prescription and we will dispense it, often the same day. We also offer a collection service and can help you manage your regular medicines.

Yes. NHS Pharmacy First is a free NHS service. If the pharmacist assesses you and decides treatment is clinically appropriate, you can receive it, including prescription-only medicines for certain conditions, without needing to see your GP and without any charge.
Under NHS Pharmacy First, our pharmacist can assess and, where appropriate, treat seven conditions: sore throat (aged 5+), sinusitis (aged 12+, symptoms 10+ days), earache (aged 1–17), infected insect bites (aged 1+), impetigo (aged 1+), shingles (aged 18+, rash within 7 days), and uncomplicated UTIs (women aged 16–64). The Minor Ailments Scheme covers 19 further everyday complaints for eligible patients.
Call the pharmacy on 01724 761771 or speak to the team at the counter during opening hours. If your GP surgery uses the NHS App, you can also order there and nominate Tobrey Pharmacy to dispense. Please allow at least a week before you run out.
Yes. We offer private blood pressure checks for patients aged 40 and over who are not currently taking blood pressure medication. The appointment takes about 10 minutes and can be booked online or by phone.
Yes. We offer a travel vaccination service. Book a 15-minute appointment and let us know where you are travelling, we will advise on any vaccinations you may need. Please book well before your date of travel.
We are at 18 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN17 3RS. There is on-street parking along High Street and public car parks within a short walk. We are well served by local bus routes and easy to reach on foot from the town centre.
We are open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. If you need urgent advice when we are closed, call NHS 111 free, 24 hours a day.
